Jack (1996)
Catch Jennifer Lopez as Miss Marquez
Theatrical Release Date: August 9, 1996
Summary: This movie is about a boy with an ageing disorder, which causes him to age 4 times faster than the average person, and his struggles to adapt and lead a normal life. His troubles begin around age 10 with his first attempt to go to public school. Of course, he looks like he is 40 and so he gets picked on, has a lot of trouble making friends. Eventually he triumphs, becomes popular and the movie ends with a very sappy valedictorian speech as he is graduating high school and looks like a senior citizen.Review:
In case you were wondering, this movie is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. Robin Williams puts on a pretty good perfomance, despite the absurd plot line of the movie. Jennifer Lopez plays Jack's fifth grade teacher, who is very sweet to him and does a lot to help him adjust, since he is so out of place in this environment. It is a good movie to rent with the kids, but if you are just a grown-up looking to watch a movie, feel free to skip this one.
